Having worked with Premiership Football Club Wolverhampton Wanderers since 2018, we’re thrilled to announce our latest project of helping them promote the football club’s membership packages.
Since 2018, we’ve helped Wolves celebrate their promotion to the Premier League and kicked off 2019 with a website which would connect Wolves fans all over the world. In 2020 we’ve supported them with their Events and Hospitality site and launched a loyal fans and supporters site where fans could get involved and upload a photo to be part of a huge flag displayed in the stadium.
Head of Operations at Platform81, Caroline Meredith said:
“It was a pleasure working with Wolves on another bespoke web project. This type of work really allows us to showcase our expertise in design and build. The fans engagement with the football club is vital, and the membership packages bring the fans together and offer various benefits. It’s great to be able to help the club communicate with their fan base and increase engagement.”
After a briefing session with the team, we got underway with the front-end designs, as our main aim was to achieve an easy way for fans to quickly view all packages and their criteria.
As with the other projects we have worked on, it was decided to launch the membership site on a subdomain, navigated via an eyebrow banner on the main site, in order to give us more flexibility, and not be restricted by the framework of the existing main website.
A full width interactive website was designed by our team, with a background video within the stadium to engage fans from the minute they land on the website. Clear modules were created so fans could see the packages on offer and filter down to the applicable membership.
With a six week turn around the site launched on one of our cloud servers, equipped with all necessary caching and optimisations available, to ensure the website would be able to withstand heavy traffic from those avid fans. The website has been recognised with web design awards. Check out the project here.
