First started and celebrated by the Suffragettes in the early 1900’s, International Women’s Day brings together communities from across the world; Be it companies, charities, educational institutions or the media, the aim is to press forward for gender parity.

Today marks International Women’s Day 2018 and with the ratio of men to women in the P81 office being 5:2 we wanted to highlight the skill and talent that we’ve built up in our female team and how we’re behind #PressforProgress 2018 campaign.

Meet Account Manager, Fiona

With 10 years in the industry, Fi has worked across a large portfolio of clients from Tesco F&F and John Lewis to Argos and Matalan. From the initial client brief to strategy development and ongoing project management she’ll ensure a seamless flow of activity, making sure every project is on track and goals are reported on.

What do you think is important for building great client relationships?

“Understanding the client’s primary objectives and any concerns they may have is key to building good client relationships.  A proactive, enthusiastic, organised, approach to communication; not being scared to go that extra mile.”

Our Head of Social Media, Amanda

An experienced creative social media specialist, Amanda has a six-year history of working across a wide variety of clients and industries from Silentnight to The British Red Cross. From digital ideation and planning to content creation and outreach she will deliver you a winning social media strategy to meet any objective.

What skills do you have that help you succeed in your role?

“My adaptability. I pride myself that I can think creatively and strategically – quickly, which helps when having to be reactive, which is key for my role.”

Project Manager, Caz

Originally trained as a graphic designer, ten years of office management means that Caz knows every trick in the book. Which comes in useful when she has to organise creatives, account managers and technical experts working on a wide range of projects.

What’s the key to successful project management?

“My bossy side helps keep projects moving whilst ticking all the boxes along the way; being well organised is a must!”

 And ‘The Boss’, Elaine

With Elaine’s 30 year HR career in the energy, education and local government sectors plus her ability to ruthlessly manage the rogue directors of Platform81, Elaine was the obvious choice when it came to keeping a tight rein on the finances. But while Elaine might run a tight ship when it comes to the accounts, she’s more than happy to provide her colleagues with a plentiful supply of cakes. Assuming that receipts have all been provided on time.

What’s are the three key pillars to keeping the accounts in order at P81?

“Impeccable organisational skills, a strong cup of tea, and the ability to retrieve receipts from even the most reluctant of directors (in particular my son, Alec).”

If you’re looking for a team that will create a winning digital formula for your business then get in touch, we’d be more than happy to catch up over a brew and maybe even some of Elaine’s cake.
